This is a portrait of one of our North American warblers (family Parulidae). The Common Yellowthroat skulks around in wet wooded areas but is very vocal and is heard more often than seen. I was lucky to have this guy come out right in front of me. I would like to have been closer. This was about a 50% crop but the lens and teleconverter seemed to hold up.
I removed a thin branch from the left hand side of the image and a small leaf from the right. I'd like help with the crop because right now the axis of the bird runs along the centre line of the image.
