This venue provided many opportunities but the area was not an ideal set up in terms of props. Until fairly recently I would not have bothered at ISO 8000 but I don't think this is too bad. The new OM1 will be shown on the 15 February, maybe I will consider buying it in anticipation of Mull in May, it just depends on how much better the things that matter to me are.

Olympus E-M1X

Focal length in 35 mm film : 421.0mm

That might explain a cryptic message I received last night. Well if it's better at ISO3200 and above then it has to be a good thing. Don't wait too long get your name down ASAP.

As previous, not a lover of the log, it's a bit ugly and it would be nice to see a hint of foot. Again the blue is masking colours, but for ISO8000 you did very well Jon, something Olympus is not renewed for. :w3

Think you could just get a bit more in the overall colour, richer, just for interest, the Squirrels coat, they vary too much soit looks good, but their tuffs are to die for. love the muddy nose.

Hi Jon ... it is Squirrel time :bg3:.
Looks very similar to previous image .

Technically it does look very nice overall , glad you seem to get your grips with higher Iso values !!!!! Nice fine details rendered .... pretty good work on front .
Only thing I like to ask is .... are you felt in love with a color called " blue " :S3:.
Log is not nice , but at times we have to take what we can get .

Steve, Andreas, this image is very similar it's about 4 or 5 frames from the previous, I corrected the colour balance - as you indicate not very effectively, as soon as you mentioned blue I kicked myself - I immediately saw what you referred to. I have some more in various shades of red according to their ancestry.

Oh she's super cute, Jon. Love those tufts, pose, and... that dirty nose:bg3:

Well framed, very nice BG, good techs and exposure. Sharp with good detail.

Yes the blue cast is a bit much but easy job for you to remove it. Or some of it...What adorable little bundle!!!

Kind regards,

Thanks everyone, the blue cast is troubling me I adjusted White balance I removed blues in ACR and in PS I added a Saturation layer and reduced blues.

Hi Jon ... why is it troubling you ???
I just turned down the saturation of blues and cyan by - 100 and - 85 in PS , et voila .... all gone and the whites under the belly look neutral :w3
