This SNPL, named Kenobi, has a great story. He/she is the first SNPL to be hatched, tagged and raised on Outback Key, a new barrier island on the gulf coast of Florida. This little bugger has had quite a summer as he/she has been spotted all along the Florida gulf coast - from the panhandle to Sarasota. With any luck, come January or so, the he/she debate can be put to rest when breeding plumage starts to appear.

Super details, perfect exposure, and the food flip is fun! As a lover of ultra low angles I'm actually thinking this one would have benefitted from being higher by an inch or so. You did get mega subject / BG separation that is certain, and the tan to blue gradient is pretty appealing. I enjoyed reading about this individual's success so far - good news stories are always uplifting!

I get it but, in this case, the tags have a story to tell. I could always eliminate them for an alternate version. Thanks for commenting.

Great comments above David. I don't mind the bands once in a while, especially considering some story context.

Fantastic details seen here and looks like you were close? One of the best processed I think I've seen from you, fwiw.

Do love the simple fg & bg and the pastel effect in the back is sweet. Love the food popping up and do agree the feet would have been great here.

A strong frame for me, tfs.

love the dreamy low angle and the superb execution of this frame, I also find the bands distracting and would get rid of them

DATPCA. In addition, the head angle is perfect. Now if only the bird had been standing atop the tiny rise ... If it were mine, I'd lose the tiny dark spot on the crest of the ridge between the legs.

Super cute little plover, well framed and such awesome POV. Great head angle and indeed the 'flying morsel' adds so much to the story !

I too would have liked to see the little toes but I guess I'm nitpicking :bg3: Love it as is, rings and all.
