Hello John,

Nice framing here and I like the expression from the doe and those beautiful eyes. Such lovely pose!

A little more DoF would have been good... What do you think? In my opinion when one gets so close it should be all about detail?

Also, a bit of the Doe's back shows at the bottom of the frame on the RHS, I would remove it - with a clean BG like that every little imperfection draws the eye.

Thank you for sharing, and I hope you have a great rest of the week:S3:

Kind regards

Sadly its not working for me John, the Deer appears startled/on hi alert with the pose, and to me you were perhaps to close as the subject feels threatened????

You needed more DoF, you have the MK3 push the ISO don't be hesitant, eyes are sharp, but the ears are slightly angled so the RH is sharp as viewed, but not the LH one, nose is soft. Colour could be improved, grass stem completely removed and I wild crop out the hint of the back.

Loving those lashes and tones! I also like the alert pose, the nose is just a little soft.
