Here's the Sparrowhawk once again, as mentioned in the previous submission I am now posting slightly different process this time (different image also).

H Jon, nice image of a Sparrowhawk. Pity the poor bird it is feeding on. Good color and detail. I noticed the Holly in the background, it looks like the same bush I have growing in my front yard here. Thank you for sharing.

I didn't think I would like this from the thumb because I'm such a slave to super-clean backgrounds, but the holly leaves really add a lot! The birds is sharp and detailed, the look is sufficiently curious/engaging, and the prey tells a nice story. Color tones are really pretty as well. Very nice!

I like this one better in terms of pose on the bird. Nice detail.

Hi Jon .... what a great luck you had .
You did well under the given circumstances .
I can only go along a general critique , as I am only looking at the MBP .
So will keep tonal and color wise critique to a minimum .
Overall for me the image could go a bit lighter .
