You did well to get a clean look at the bird, but the BG is quite busy. I would try to clean that up in PS. Also, I would do some more sharpening on the bird. Please try to post complete techs on your photos, as that will help when it comes to image critique. Thanks for posting!

Pose, eye contact and light look good. The bird does look a bit soft and a cleaner BG would have been preferable but that can be quite difficult with these little guys.
