Went out to try and catch a WTKite drop but they were lazy. Thankfully a RSH made a few passes. Got several frames I liked but think this was the best.

sweet shot Joel, love the BG color palette. sharp with good details.
In a perfect would have been lower in the sky as it came out a bit contrasty
cheers buddy, hope you figured the issue with the EVF switching.

Nice shot Joel, agree with Arash on being Contrasty, but also there are some heavy sharpening halos around the head, underneath and at the tail. Perhaps a little off the top.

Jay, surely you'll note that the flatter wing position is far less desirable among most BPN'ers but there are times and angles where I find it works well and the separation of beak from the opposing wing def helps this one.
Any shortcomings there are overcome by the amazing, colorful bkg. I could see a slightly less boxy crop with a touch more room in front.
A bit unfortunate that the shadow cuts through the eye. Only other nit would be a bit of sharpening halos around the feet, chin and beak.
Overall a nice capture.

Great screaming pose. RP a definite improvement with contrast reduction. Love the BG.

Definitely better on the RP Jay... still seeing halos though.

to get rid of the halo, feather the sharpening mask by 1-2 pixels
