With sun setting soon, this returning parent approached too close to irate nesting neighbors necessitating a pullout on this approach. This pose is the reach for the power pullout. Around one more time and landing was finally accomplished. Loved those black primaries reaching for air. Created back in March when colony was going strong. The foreground is busy but part of the story for me.

Thanks as always for valued inputs and help on previous posts.

David:

The incoming bird is great, full stretch, appreciate the story details. Sky is nice. The two birds looking up at the subject works well too, even if they are facing away from us, helps tell the story. The left lower bird, has such a major visual impact that it does hurt the frame. The other OOF on the right would probably work if the left guy wasn't there.

I have always thought that wood storks are such interesting looking birds, quite prehistoric looking to me.

Cheers

Randy

Love, love, love the landing bird, esp. those pink feet! The two birds looking at him are great also. I can live with the bird on our right. But the large, o-o-f stork on the bottom left is an image-wrecker if there ever was one.

There are several options for a save, the easiest being a crop to a vertical. IQ looks great.

with love, arite

ps: Wako?

The birds on the bottom do give a nice anchor. The incoming pose is quite nice.
