Hi all, first post here. Artie suggested I join and I hemmed and hawed. I've been shooting with the R5 and 600III recently. Since transitioning from the 1DX3 to the R5, the world of passerines in flight has opened up. Very exciting times to get some fun flight shots.

Some minimal adjustments made in lightroom and a small white blob cloned out in front of the bird.

Thanks for looking!

Ryan, great to see you here! I think you will bring some great shots to the fold.

Gorgeous male you got here, one of my favorite species. Fully splayed from the dorsal perspective is awesome and this is a great look at a sharp head on a small, Passerine/songbird.

Sweet and smooth, green bkg. Well done!

Not shabby :) Killer pose and sharpness and BKGR. Bad luck on the damaged 7th primary of the far wing.

with love, artie

ps; great to see you here.

sweet frame, love the pose and the BG, can't do much about the missing primary but that's nature. I see some rolling shutter artifact in the primaries but they don't distract from the shot

Welcome to BPN Ryan, and what a very nice first post...Lovely flight pose with good colours throughout...Very well done on capturing this...The blues on the head and along the back of the bird look fab...I also like the BG..

Looks great. Love the dorsal view and that background.
