Hi Jon, sadly it's not really working for me, even at 1/3200 the subject appears soft and the lines above distracting. A tighter pano crop I think works better, but even some more additional USM just creates halos. Giving it a tad more punch I feel does improve the look, but I think the softness isn't a keeper.

I like the action here, and the water splash adds to that, but I do agree with Steve's comment

I agree not totally sharp but it's a starter for this species for me, as soon as I get a better one I will ditch it! I am happy for the time being, I enjoyed the experience.

Hey Johnathan

Tried my hand at getting similar pics of a Turn without much success, your pic is way better than what I could achieve. Problem I found is their eyes are really difficult to get a catch light from. Would be interesting to convert this to a monochrome image as the bird position and water impact may work out quite nicely
