EOS R6 RF 100-500 @500 f7.1 1/800 ISO 6400 HH, Manual EXP, small crop for composition

After a week of Claudette feeder bands coming through many fields were turned into temporary wetlands. Was riding the local bicycle greenway when spotting a splash of blue out of the corner of my eye. Turned around to investigate and up pops little blue. The R6 had no problem in animal face and eye detect AF mode locking onto eye as this in transition (from solid white to adult blue) beauty foraged in the newly made temporary wetland.

Just a bit more HA would have made this stronger IMO. Still a very neat scene with appealing habitat depicted. Good placement of the subject within the frame.

Really dig the setting here. Must have been some low light for that ISO. I do like the framing. The blue/white bird and the green vegetation go great together.
