**** yes. Lighting and low angle are excellent. So is the eye contact and feather detail. Gotta love white birds on that dark, early morning sand. One of my favorite shots from you.

Late afternoon sand :) DATPCA. It would be hard to imagine a better image of a breeding plumage Sanderling. You need some good field skills to get close to them on an open beach.

Hi John .... personally I think since your move to the 1Dx , you are posting some really nice stuff !!!

And this is no exception , lovely low POV , framing spot on and a overall nice tone and color palette . Might try to burn the really bright breast a tiny :w3 bit .

John, mega low and that is the winning aspect here. I agree that you capture stunning detail with that rig.

I love the subtle striations in the FG and BKG and sweet HA. A touch more parallel to capture the tail would have been a treat but I'd love this one in my files!
