I captured this image along Wading Bird Way trail in Circle B Bar Reserve in Polk County, Florida. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

Nikon 500mm F/5.6 VR AF-S ED PF + Nikon 1.4 III Teleconverter, camera and lens supported by a Oben carbon fiber monopod with a Wimberly MonoGimbal head
1/2000 F/8 Matrix Metering EV 0 ISO 560 Auto 1 WB, image captured at 700mm (1050mm 35mm Equivalent)
Post processed in Lightroom Classic, Photoshop CC 2021 and Neat Image for noise reduction
Cropped slightly for composition and presentation

The color looks pretty good to me. I love the purple on the back of the head and the handsome breeding plumage. What date?

All that blue looks great. Sure does fit the theme well. Detail looks great on the bird.

Lots of blue here Joe. I absolutely love that beak and eye, wow.

Comp and pp look great my friend. That rich bkg is nice, though I think it would be sweet with a gorgeous specimen like this to have a little contrast in color.

Regardless, well captured!

Great looking bird and IQ with lots of details.
The bird gets lost in the overwhelming blue BG so I would reduce the saturation of the blue,
