This is a stark contrast to Ann and Bill's colorful OC images.
Canon 1 Dx1 600mm v.3 and 1.4 x converter
ISO 2000 F 5.6 SS 1/2500
Crop to full vertical with a sliver of canvas added at the top.
Usual LR sliders then NR with Topaz Denoise Low light option.
Comments and critiques always appreciated and learned from with thanks,
Gail

Great wing spread, fanned tail and head position. Good comp.

Maybe it’s not as colorful but it has more action right? Nice landing pose you managed here Gail! At first I wasn’t sure about the vertical crop, but the more I look the more I’m liking it and think it’s the way to go here. Great decisions and job!

you did a great job in the poor light, maybe a bit more detail in the blacks if RAW has it. The OC looks a lot prettier with sunlight but you take what you can

Hi Gail, very nice landing pose captured, details on the chest w the bits of sand and wet feathers. HA is great, and i love the fanned tail. I like Kurt's suggestion, maybe a vertical!

Looks great high key. The flaired out tail is very nice. Same for the wings. Nice and sharp.
