In nice spring breeding color.
Obviously a feeding Goldfinch....

Settings were for flying Ospreys, he showed up fortunately a few feet away.

Good looking bird, outsize feet and claws for a small bird.

looking good, pose and everything is great, BG could be better

the details look a bit contrary/coarse/crunchy to my eye. Are just using capture one to generate the final image for posting? It's awesome for RAW conversion and what I use but I don't think it's ready yet to do all of the steps including final sharpening after you resize the photo like photoshop does. I still pay for photoshop only to use the plugins and the resize + smart sharpen feature.

Terrific close-up of this yellow jewel!
I like your comp.
Image seems a bit contrasty- likely due to stronger light?
I like the little bit of spider web and am glad you left it in,
Gail

the Sharp for sure. The high contrast, distracting BKGR, the crud on the bill, and the pose do now work for me.

Nice view of this goldfinch. The breeding plummage is great.
