I'm afraid I don't have many Eider frames from either of two Iceland trips, other than the several that I've already posted. Not the perfect wing positions, but I liked getting the tandem drakes in focus.

Nice shot Bill pleasing colours maybe the blacks are just a tad dense otherwise super. The wing positions are fine, I don't see any issue there.

Hi Bill, Well done catching two in focus and i really like the wing positions. Good to see the catchlights on both, well done TFS

Individually the back bird has better wing position, but in tandem like this they look good with alternating poses. It helps that you were higher so we can see a good dorsal view of the front bird.

Nice that they are both in focus with decent poses.

Bill, nice job getting both in plane.

Composition is good with the vegetation at bottom. Comments on the blacks noted and otherwise could only with the rear most had a touch more visibility of the opposing wing.

One day I'll get to shoot these!

It is always a good day when you get 2 birds in flight that are sharp.
I like both wing positions.
Well done,
Gail

I actually prefer the wing position of the front bird. The plus of being relatively high is the nice dorsal view of both birds. The negative is that being high brings up the detail in the water.

with love, artie
