This is one I captured before lockdown....I came across this bird 'digging' into the snowdrift to get to the heather, which is the main food source...HH..ACR and PS2021

Will:

Very nice winter scene, whites well handled, nice head angle, feather detail.

In a perfect world, perhaps a few less grasses across the body, but head and chest clear.

Well done.

Not a lot of camouflage going on here. Nice detail in the bird. Agreed, too bad about the grass in font of the bird.

I like this.
Nice environmental image.
The head and neck are nice and clear so I am Ok with the grasses crossing the lower body.

Will I think this is fantastic, the grouse in the snow and the sedges, so natural looking, it is the sort of image I have dreamt about capturing for years and years - well done I am very envious!

I always love your grouse shots. This is just another wonderful one in the snow. The sedges are fine. Actually may be better than if you had a clean background. TFS Will
