Northern Cardinal Scene 10 Months Too Early

With Christmas Eve only 10 short months away I thought I'd get the festive vibe going with this scene:t3. This individual was waiting patiently from a protruding branch off a large cedar for its turn at the seed offering below-left of the frame. I just lined-up for a clean BG and got a few frames before it flew off.

Canon 7DII + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC III, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/500s., f/5.6, ISO 800, natural light, handheld, FF, a few snowflakes strategically eliminated, including a couple in front of the bird.

Christmas card material for sure! Like the pose, framing by branch, snow, esp. on the crown. Exposure.

I could see a version with the bare twig at the upper right removed.

Call Hallmark, they will want this one for next Christmas!
