My biggest problem here was getting a 'clean' image....As this was not a set up, getting 'clean' shots of the birds wasn't easy....Captured from the vehicle, as these birds gorged on the available food source....I could have cropped tighter here, as the IQ would hold. But, I kinda liked the natural feel of the habitat. HH. ACR. PS2021.

Will, I think you handled the busy BG very well. The brid stands out nicely. Techs are great and the bit of cracked seed on the chin is a nice touch. Great frame!

Will, love seeing these species from your neck of the pond (so to speak).

The subject is gorgeous and processed very well as usual for you. Pose and food-in-mouth are great.

I also really like the color palette, including the splash of orange in the bkg and the berries. As mentioned by Kurt, a touch busy but the berries bring it up.

You might consider cloning the thorn coming in towards its head, but it's a pretty canvas!

It works for me Will very natural. He looks very pale compared to the ones around here, is he a one off or do you have many like that?

Hi Jon...I can see where you are coming from regarding the chest feathers looking pale....I reduced the oranges on the chest to get it to look more pink in colour, which they are. Maybe went a wee bit too far.....I did notice slight variations, although nothing major..also some are in the shade, so that would make a difference...I got a few on the snow, and the pinkness on the chest really shows well.

Will, if you use a Channel Curves adjustment and pull down the HL's on the berries it brings a lot more tonal range and depth to the image, creating some welcome punch to the image, nice one!
