This rather moth eaten looking Robin is the currently dominant one in the garden, none of the other Robins dare stand up to him.

Sweet subject Jon, he is certainly fluffed up sitting in the cold. Nice crystals on the perch, is this from what we discussed?

I'm not sure if you remove that hint of feather creeping in from under the perch and that bit of nodule near the trim might make the capture slightly cleaner, how about a 4x6, a tad more elongated? Colours look spot on, lovely tonal BKG.

I have gotten used to this format now so I do occasionally go 4x6 but 3x4 is the shape of the sensor, so it very often does not occur to me to change it.
The feather ghost stays - it is to be expected as it were.
I know what you mean when you say "naturally cleaner" but I really don't find a lot wrong with just plain natural.

Nor do I Jon, just a thought.

The little guy looks great all fluffed up. Nice to see some frost on the perch.

The bird looks just fine to me. Love the perch and the fluffiness. And the slightly boxy crop works perfectly here.

with love, artie
