Any time you get to see a Rhino is a privilege, but three up close is just so cool and those who have been there can appreciate the sighting. Set about 10-15m away these three came to drink and with permission Rachel & myself, yes Rachel were allowed to shoot on foot. So this was kneeling resting on the LHS of the jeeps front wheel. Techs well now I might have changed them, but still delivered the goods, pin sharp, but it's so nice not to have to push the ISO.

Thanks to those who posted or viewed on the last posting.

I like it. Nice poses on all the rhinos. Neat how you caught the bird on the right ones head. Framing is right on. Isn't this in Africa?

Yes John, but as a rule we suggest that any references to the location is not given, likewise GPS is removed due to poaching.

I like the perspective, and almost symmetrical composition. I think I would be inclined to reduce the highlights a fraction on the rhino RHS, I don't think they are overexposed but I feel it would just look a little better.

Can't see anything regarding HL's Jon, there is truck loads of tone and detail, can you point out the areas please.

Hi Steve ... a very cool sighting indeed .
I do agree these sightings are very special .... been to a place where it was quite " normal " to see numerous of the whites . Seen 21 in one day .... at that time , and the best thing was all has been friendly .

Nicely processed .... as a personal taste I might give the 3/4 tones a very slight punch , would expect deeper tones under the given lighting .

Hi Steve .... quickly and crudely done .... after the fishy breath :w3

I " played " with TK ( for creating a single mask ) to add the mask to one curve adjustment layer ....

Very subtle I think Andreas, what was the starting point mask, darks, mid tone... ????

For sure subtle .... did not want to destroy your lovely details :w3

Mask was .... Darks 3 from the green channel ( in TK language )
