Taken yesterday at Ridgefield NWR, Washington state.
D500, 500mm (300 w/ 1.7), f4.8, 1/3200, iso400
I removed a branch that ran in front of the Hawk.

Wonderful pose (even with HA), details and I love the OOF tree. The fully spread wings and tail really add for me. TFS

Good full pose here, only a fully lit front wing would have made it better but it is still not bad. Did you lighten that underwing? Looks OK, just being curious.

Thanks Dan, yes I raised a bit of shadow, not really needed, light angle not bad, maybe 20 degrees off.

I'd be happy with this terrific take off Dan, i like the curled wing tips, sharp talons and the muted branches in the BG. Bet this was fun!

Super image, I really like the pose and the background could not be better.
My eyes may be playing tricks on me so just ignore if you disagree but when I study the head and bill I sometimes detect a slight halo.

Thanks Jon, I can also see it, I downsize and sharpen for web with TK actions, sometimes they can be oversharp I think we causes the Halo.
