I captured this image at Circle B Bar Reserve in Polk County, Florida. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

Nikon 80-400mm F/4.5-5.6 VRII AF-S ED, camera and lens supported by a Oben carbon fiber monopod with a Wimberly MonoGimbal head
1/1600 F/5.6 Matrix Metering EV +2/3 Auto ISO 450 Auto 1 WB, image captured at 400mm
Post processed in Lightroom Classic, converted to a TIFF in Photoshop and Neat Image used for noise reduction
Cropped for composition and presentation

Love the framing and the way the curve fills it, the bicolor BG and of course the details. A classic JP canvas. TFS

Love the shape the neck makes. I also really dig that two toned background. The green and blue go great together.

The two-toned background is really nice.

I would back off the sharpening a little.

Joe, for me pose is cool mid-preen and that bkg transition is killer!

Far from an Anhinga expert but believe I see some blue casting in the whites throughout the subject feathers? Maybe something you can check.

Agreed sharpening feels just a bit much, then again I seem to feel that way frequently on shots of this species.

Thanks everyone for viewing, commenting and suggesting improvements. This is a edit with the blue removed from the white areas and less sharpening.

Reducing blues in whites was a good idea as the repost improves on an already-awesome frame. I love the graded BG, and the neck loop is really, really unique. I'd love to have this one in my headshot collection.
