Love the pose(that look), iridescence, water drops and bow wave (including reflection). Looks like the image could be lifted just a smidge. Really love this canvas overall. TFS

Amazing close look. Great iridescence. Tough bird to expose properly but this looks good to me. Well done.

Is that a loop of fishing line/leader around its bill, and a dressed hook/fly near the base of his bill??

It sure does look like fishing line and fly-hook as per Ed's observation. I love the iridescence, colours, and visible foot under the water left of the subject. Whites seem a bit greyed out, but nice to see some detail in there.

I absolutely love the water on the RLC of frame. Simply gorgeous.
Great POV.
This is a bit tight in the frame for my taste- would love a bit more on RHS.
Whites appear a bit greyed out,
Gail
I hope that is not fishing line?

This is really nice. I tried for these in Golden Gate Park today without success. Detail is money, and I really like the rippled bow wave. Sure he's tight in the frame, but that's cuz he was so close! I think you could even restore
some of the white I assume you reduced. These guys glow in the field and I think he looks the slightest bit grayed here. It's basically a personal preference between showing more detail or showing the bird closer to how it
appears in the field.

Hi Dan, gorgeous duck. The iridescence is wonderful, nice feather detail and head angle. I agree with Dorian that the whites appear a little gray on my display, maybe raise the whites a bit. Thank you for sharing.

Iridescense. That word describes this frame. Nice low angle as well.
