Now, that's a perch to die for. This canvas rocks, not sure I have to delineate why... TFS

ps
Choice of SS has it...

Very cool to get the water blur and a nice sharp bird..

This is really good!
Water blur is just right for my taste and I love how I can see the foot through the water.
Do you have a bit more canvas on top? I find myself looking for the flat area at the top of the falling water.
If you don't have a remote, just use the 2 second timer. Canon has an app on the phone now to trigger the camera remotely. Perhaps Sony has this?
Really nice image,
Gail

Yes, this is definitely something different, and I like it. The bird must have been so still to get it sharp at that ss. Well done and TFS

A really interesting image, if it is cropped I would suggest loosen the crop, good details in the bird and the shutter speed really did the trick with the water.

I agree with a bit more room, but boy-oh-boy I love this. The water running over the feet is very neat. I also love the water drops n the heron. The two-second timer is a great tip that I've used on a couple of occasions....

A beautiful image you have here Kurt! The water blur, sharpness of the bird and setting makes this image special.

Nice idea to shoot it this way. Running water is always a plus. Thanks to the bird for holding still throughout your exposure!
