My account here just happened to renew itself, as i'm too lazy to cancel my ongoing membership :P so anyway may as well post, had a bit of a break from photography after I sold my 600mm iii after owning it for a short time, just didn't like it, just purchased the 500mm mk ii again so plan to use it. anyway here's a shot of a Hobby having a snack from a while back :)

Yummy... Love the tricolored BG, framing, lighting and details. TFS

ps
Your mouse seems to have bird legs/feet and feathers(?)...

Lol, I was also going to comment that the mouse has (had) lovely bird legs! I love these types of scenes. I only wish that the barbed wire was more rusted - but wishing won't do it so it is what it is. Next post you can upload directly to have a thumbnail generated. Nice to see you here again Mervyn, even if only by happenstance:wave:

Ah, yes it was eating a pigeon, photo was taken a year ago, silly me didn't even remember! maybe I should look at my photos a bit better before giving them a title which is wrong :)

Absolutely killer view of the bird and prey. Lighting, exposure, and details are all equally good. Love the bloody bit on the beak as well. Only issue is the perch. Some won't care, but I simply won't shoot birds on man made perches. But it only takes away from the shot if you let it.

love everything but bummer about the perch and the barbed wire, I have had so many great opportunities ruined by man made perches
