Not the most exciting species from a plumage standpoint, but it doesn't get much harder than getting this tiny
speedster in a full bank pose. So yeah, pretty stoked with this one!

I did add a touch of canvas to the top of the frame.

good banking pose, I like the blue BG , I wish the tail was fanned. on my screen the image looks a bit over sharpened especially the beak/face area.

Wonderful image, Dorian. Maybe a fanned tail would make it better but this is really good, a perfect topside flight position. Thank you for sharing.

Dorian:

Excellent dorsal display, well framed and exposed. Nice background. Certainly sharp, tip toeing on becoming a bit crunchy in some areas.

Cheers

Comments on sharpening noted. I have backed off a bit for the file that will end up on my website and social media (not worth reposting). Cheers!

Killer poser, with that banking pose offering us a great view of the dorsal feathers and wing patterns! Love pretty much everything here.

I can only wish that I had the physical skills to even attempt shots like this. Is this from a horizontal original? How large a crop?

In case I forgot to mention it, this one is exquisite.

with love, artie

Dorian, beautiful. Dorsal shot perpendicular to the sensor, lit very well on sweet blue bkdrop...

The og is just a touch over sharpened to my eyes but sure you'll dial it in.
