Glossy Ibis blast-off

My friend Anita North and I decided to hang in at Anahuac and wait for the next cold front. Tomorrow is looking great ... So we have been visiting Anahuac NWR every morning at dawn for the big ibis blast-offs. Learn more about the creation of this image and see seven additional pleasing blurs in the blog post here. This image was created at Anahuac NWR, TX on the morning of 26 OCT 2020. I used the handheld Sony FE 200-600mm f/5.6-6.3 G OSS lens (https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1485540-REG/sony_sel200600g_fe_200_600mm_f_5_6_6_3_g.html/BI/6633/KBID/7226/kw/SO200600G/DFF/d10-v2-t1-xSO200600G) (at 200mm) and the blazingly fast AF King, the Sony Alpha a9 II Mirrorless Digital camera body. (https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1509600-REG/sony_ilce9m2_b_alpha_a9_ii_mirrorless.html/BI/6633/KBID/7226/kw/SOA92/DFF/d10-v2-t1-xSOA92) Multi-metering +3 stops: 1/15 sec. at f/5.6 in Shutter Priority mode. Auto ISO: 250. ABW at 8:23am on a cloudy morning.

Center Zone AF-C was active at the moment of exposure and performed perfectly.

All comment welcome and appreciated.

While I'm not always a fan of blurs, I find this one very appealing. Anahuac NWR is a great place that I'd love to visit again.

Very unique and creative Artie. An appreciable frame as an alternate way to view bif. Really cool and fun title!

This is very creative and appropriate for Halloween; they look more like bats than birds!

I am also not normally a big fan of motion blurs...I just think they are overdone. But I do like some of them. I like the top part of this because of the separation in the birds, but I find the lower section has a bit too much overlapping of birds for my taste. I might try a pano crop on top half.
