Can't remember if I have posted this or not and if I have apologies, but reprocessed the frame and cropped wider to take in the lovely habitat these majestic of animal live in. This was one of two brothers who were trying to stalk a Sambar deer, with no luck!

Wow, Steve. Do not think I have seen this before, would have remembered it. Great techs, stunning capture, love the stalking pose from the tiger and focused stare, habitat is superb.

Nice POV and the central positioning of the tiger within the frame in this case draws attention. Besides, the focus is on the subject's eyes which are slightly off centre... Mmm....I am quite sure this did not happen by chance:S3:

Lovely colours and warmth and the misty forest in the BG is absolutely charming - was this early morning?

I like the on the prowl pose and the concentration on the tiger. I would like to see the tiger more to the left. I like the setting though.

Steve, I get a sense of Deja Vu looking at this as it looks familiar but can't be too sure if you posted earlier. But its a fine shot none the less with great look at the habitat and nice pose of the tiger. Nicely processed and pleasing natural colors. Very nice techs too.

Steve if not this one certainly one similar - but hey I have just been revisiting my tiger shots too! The image is pretty eye catching the tiger obviously looks very intent on something, I really love the environment and the slightly hazy background. The tiger looks really good, I wasn't there but I certainly wish I had been!
Being very picky now but the tiger looks perhaps a little golden? or should I say a little rich in colour - possibly not maybe my envious eyes!!

Steve, does it matter whether it is a repeat post or not when the subject is a Tiger and in a stalking pose and so well captured and processed ?

What a cracker, loved the feel here , it has that certain forest feel when the tiger is out there and on the prowl. Loved the tones and the colour palette. Beautifully done.

Wow Steve, its a beautiful shot! I like the intense stare, the raised paw which suggest movement and the huge muscles on his back. The habitat is very well included, the branches above make a nice frame. Can you explain a bit you PP (learning purposes:) Subject on one layer, BG on another and sharpened only the tiger? How did you select the tiger? QST? Did you sharpened the FG as well ( the grass in front of the tiger)? I feel the colour of the fur is natural, but its a matter of taste.

Good to see the low POV and the concentrated look of the subject ... you caught him very well with the raised paw , I really like that .

Personally I think the subject is too central and the FG/ top of the frame are looking too much " manipulated" for my taste . But your call .... and I know your reasons for doing so .
