Looks like heat shimmer on the face area, or at least some sort of softness, some of your recent images of late have had this effect. Have you been doing anything different, or just happenstance? Other than that, I like the profile pose, BG, and good look at the feet.

Hi Dan, thanks for viewing and commenting. The reason for the softness you mention is old image from when I began photographing birds, also different camera and lens from what I use now and I am sure better technique both in the field and post processing now. I have been going through archived images. Thanks again for your comments.
