Fantastic high key canvas with pretty perfect EXP (even the tones on the lighter perch are sweet). I was gonna say a vertical but then realized I like the stark negative space. Goes with the subject (nature's cleanup crew). TFS

John great capture,I too like all the negative space and High key goes well here. Branch is a plus some great textures. TFS

Nice look at this species, John. The minimalist high-key effect is cool, the bird looks really washed out, like you were shooting through mist or something. The darks need to be bolder for the image to crack. I also think there is too much negative space at right. The bird is vertically oriented, so leaving extra space at the horizontal is awkward. If you have more branch at right then use it to push the bird towards the center of the frame.

Definitely needs more contrast, or at least deeper blacks. Perhaps a warmer WB as well. I love the pose and perch, and good details.

John, unique composition with the Vulture. I appreciate the effort to make something different here.

I think a round of dehaze in LR could help. Seems to have a bit of blue color cast from my view and could use some levels adjustment perhaps too. Daniel's comments on warming noted.
