For those who didn't care for the ripples in my last post, here's the drake of the species, taken at the same location the following morning. Estero Llano Grande, TX, November 2017. Evicted a few twigs from the upper BG.

D500, 500f4 + 1.4 TC, ISO 3200, 1/2500s @ f/6.3 manual.

A lovely high key rendition of a handsome drake. I'd like to see the bird a bit higher in the frame. Easy to do by adding some canvas below.
