Here's another photo from my day at Powell Gardens. I don't have any EXIF data because my hard drive crashed this weekend :eek::eek::eek: and I'm in the middle of trying to retrieve everything...but I had the photo uploaded to flickr so at least that's something!

Very nice capture here Julie. The whites look particularly good as Mike has already commented. The color on the second tier of leaves seems a bit peculiar but overall it works. Nice job.

Ed, part of the flower had a pale yellow tint and part was a bit deeper - hence the funky yellow color on the inside of the plant leaves. The color wasn't quite as diluted as the sunny petals were.

I like the light play on the whites. i normally would only take this on overcast days........but all the shadowplay and tones come out well. Nice bonus of the bud also.

Thanks Mike! I wondered why the inside area was different than the regular lilies! I forgot all about it being a lotus blossom.
