An unusually sunny day - although a little hazy on the Skagit Flats in Northwestern Washington. A favorite birding locale. Its unusual to be able to shoot at ISO 100 around here. :)
PS those are trumpeter swans in the background that were nice enough to fly into the frame.

Terry,
Because of the manner in which the church was catching the light to make it such a strong and dramatic element against the mountainous background, I would have preferred to see it enter the frame a full third--possibly two thirds-- from the right side of the image. I think it doesn't have enough room "to breathe."

Hi David, and thanks for your comments. I re-cropped the shot to move the church into the frame a full 1/3. I would appreciate your comments on the re-crop. I could not move the church any further away from the right side.

The photo with the new crop is very beautiful but I did love the way the mountain really loomed over the church in the original. The expansion of the photo seems to diminish the impact of both the church and the mountain.

I like the original crop for the better impact as Gayle said. I think that crop but to the other side of the 2 trees might work well. What a cool place.
