Taken early one morning at Nickerson, in 2016. Cropped to pano, and in a little from both sides. Removed an oof skimmer in the background.

Bill :
I like the interaction here, esp. the raised head of the chick. Good shooting angle, well exposed.
It would be interesting to see the org. before the crop. Esp on the right side. Always a challenge to know where to crop a body. I generally like to have a little more tapering off of the body before the crop, but not always possible.
Cheers

Thanks Randy. Here is the full-frame shot, uncropped and unsharpened. I have removed one (or two) OOF skimmers in the upper background. I can't tell what is happening on the far right. It is possible that there is another partial skimmer body there, which is partly why I chose to crop where I did, but more because I wanted the attention to be on the chick.

The light just amazing, the crop spot on, the interaction priceless. TFS

A nice moment here for sure. The light sure was sweet. I like the crop. Pose on both birds is right on.

Bill:
Seeing what you started with, your crop was well chosen!

Hey Bill Nice light you have here. Great interaction with the adult. I like the clean beach.

you got the mom and chick interaction quite well! definitely the OP for me, the story of this frame is the interaction so the tighter crop works better
good tech and details plus the sweet light, one of your strong frames
