Hi everyone,

I've been a member here for a while but have never posted an image. This is my first. The images I have seen on this site over time have really inspired me to be a better photographer. I would love to read what you guys think of this image and you don't have to be nice, I would prefer the honest truth so as I could benefit from your knowledge.

Thanks in advance,
Ari

Welcome Ari! It's a beautiful image of a coot, but the water is what makes it special. Reminds me of liquid gold. I would crop just a little off the bottom of the frame, but that's about it. Thanks for posting!

Great suggestions from Doug. I too love the golden water as it makes this image stand apart from other coot images. thanks for sharing.

Welcome to BPN, Ari! Great first post, I like the details, light and eye contact but the water colors and patterns put it over the top for me. If you use the ruler tool in PS and draw a vertical line from the eye to the eye in the reflection you will notice that it needs a bit CW rotation. Keep them coming!
