Baby Scrub Jay in my bird bath.
D500, 500mm (300 w/1.7), f4.8, 1/2000, iso8000.
60% of frame, PP in C1P, I use same values for iso8000 that I use for iso2000.
No NR on bird.

Love it, Looks much like our scrub jay in Florida. Great color and details, water action and nice BB. Only miss the tail. Are they as friendly as our variety? TFS

Thanks, David, they are annoying city birds here, but very attractive.
A bird bath shot not exactly what the site is about, but my wife has an instagram site
and this photo has the most attention in a long time.
People love chicks and I thought an iso 8000 shot was worth posting.
They can look fine even taken on a D500 if exposed and processed right.
Not award winning but fun sometimes and stretches the processing skills.

Would be nice to see the whole bird, but then the unnatural bath would stand out more. Wet feathers are fun.

I like the wet look. I don't think i have ever seen a picture of a bird in a bird bath on here.
