Last Yellow-headed Blackbird

I've given you a wide frame of this species, then a tight frame, and now a normal frame.

Whites were a bit hot, but I think I've tamed them to acceptable levels. Not looking to gray them out
as this is how this hella high contrast bird appears in the wild.

Processed in LR CC. Selectively lifted a few posterior shadows. Otherwise just a few standard sliders.

Terrific singing pose with good background. Exposure looks good after adjustments, and detail is nice. Wish I could photograph one of these guys.

My personal favorite in the series Dorian. Getting the neck feathers with the mouth open calling and a slight puff in the body posture make this better than a traditional perch. HA is very nice.

Careful to comment on the crop as it's maybe the most subjective part of bird photography, but I'll offer that I'm curious how it would do with an ever so slightly tighter crop an then evict the left sage. Just an idea. Fantastic as-is too.

Hi Dorian, very good technic. Congratulations. in this site ı learned to love the detail. Now the ground without details feels like a stain. tail and throat. just my opinion. respectuly

Great pose, I think you toned down the yellows a tad too much in this one.

I hope it's not the last. I love that calling pose. Reminders me of the red winged blackbirds calling. Killer background and nice framing.
