Found this while going through my Wall of Shame folder. This drake seems to be missing his eye. This image was created at the infamous Wall of Shame on Oakley St in Cambridge, Maryland on 2/9/20 at 2:43PM. Image processed in Lightroom and Photoshop.

Hand held, Small crop.

John:

Very nice overall, bummer about the eye. I am surprised we don't see more birds with eye injuries, esp. those that fly through the trees a lot.

Excellent shooting angle, soft water, nice angle in the frame.

Cheers

John nice image and too bad the eye definitely hurts.Love the water color and softness. I have been trying to get one like this for a couple years. Just haven't had the opportunity present it self. In Nd usually on large water. TFS

Bad luck with that missing eye, it does spoil the image but I suppose it does have value in showing wildlife's resilience with injuries. Apart from that eye everything looks super.

Such a nicely lit and well-balanced candidate with super water color. Shadows at base of the neck are a touch strong compared to the illumination of the rest of the bird perhaps.

I always appreciate seeing shots of oddities, although they certainly don't often make award-winners.

Hi John, perfect angled pose captured here, and you have captured excellent detail throughout the duck. Love the calm water.
