I know there are many distractions in this one, but I thought I'd post it as I must admit I do like it, mainly because of the the Bee above the open beak. I'm interested to get feedback on this one...good and bad. Cheers.

Nice timing Paul, but you do need longer legs to get up level with these birds!!

I'm with you. The perch is a bit much(covering bird) but the light on the bee and top of bird as well as the bee itself makes up for it. I actually love the BG for sense of place. TFS

That determination and concentration on the face....

I agree, the perch and angle not ideal but the photo does have considerable merit. I wonder did he get the bee?
Just maybe a reverse curve on the background could help.

Much prefer the other one to this one.

Thank you all for the feedback.
Jonathan...yes, it got the bee. I have a series of shots showing the Bee getting closer and in the Bird's mouth. Reverse curve is a good idea...will try that. Cheers.

Action and timing are excellent, but the overhead shooting angle, big branch, and busy background make this tough for me. It looks like an opportunistic grab shot rather than a deliberately-sought photography. Bird is really pretty though!
