This is one from the shore in my hometown...This bird was 'leading' me towards the rocks away from the beach area where it is nesting. It kept calling, but stayed a good distance away. I managed to get quite close, before it flew off, back to the beach area and the nest. Its the same scenario year after year...

Nice view on a nice perch.
Details look great.
You handled the light well.

Lovely shot. Could do with a little less of the rock IMO.
Love the light, head turn and detail.

This is really pretty.
Lovely light, simple but good composition. IQ excellent.
Agree about taking a bit off the bottom to remove the OOF rock (if you have enough pixels) and add more to right.

PS You were only at 640 but I see some purplish pixellation in the BG, especially to the right of the plover. I am trying to figure out why you would have this?

Beautiful little plover, nice perch, clean background, good feather detail. Thank you for sharing, Will.

Lovely shot with good detail and head turn. Agree about a little less rock; and the pixellation noted. This isn't a species that I've often seen, but the few that I've seen (in Iceland) had darker blacks on the head and neck. Maybe a seasonal thing? Or would it benefit from adding a few points of black to the bird?

Solid frame of this plover. The background is very nice. I like the rock perch.
