Harsh light was not your friend. Love the under wing water ripple reflections and the droplets from takeoff. Yes, the light was harsh but you handled it about as well as you could. TFS

Yes, take what we get. And, no strong light - no ripple which is what I like about this one. Cheers.

I hear you, and you got them under both wings and that beautiful spread tail:S3:.

I like the image, the whites are hot and it is harsh light but I think better PP
would make this better. The whites seem like you could tame them a bit more,
The BG looks a bit noisy but every Sony frame I look at , looks like this.
Takeoff is nice, I really like the reflection on the wings.

Yes, the bird is smoking hot and needs to be turned down a lot. Hopefully it's not fully saturated but I suspect it might be. Background is noisy/crunchy, and I think the water looks over saturated given the sun angle as evidenced by the
underwing shadows. The pose and composition do look good to me.

Hi Jay, are you working on a calibrated monitor and has it been calibrated within the last month? Apart from the above comments, the WB is out, but more importantly the image does not have sRGB colour embedded profile, all web images need to be converted from a 'working' Adobe RGB, or ProPhoto RGB to an sRGB 256 colour profile. This ensure that colours do not shift.

Cheers
Steve

Those ripple reflections under the wings offer a psychedelic feel. Yes to the suggestions offered previously.

Hey Joel this one has a great pose but the harsh light wasn't helping it. should be able to eek out more detail from the whites. the BG bokeh isn't smooth which is a feature of shooting at f/9 with this zoom lens :D

Agree with the others here. The pose is pretty neat.
