This is another tubenose species I got to photograph on my pelagic trip about 100 miles south of Cape Cod last weekend. These birds can drink salt water and excrete excess salt through a gland on top of the upper mandible. Because of that they can stay on the open ocean for a long time without dehydration

What can I add that already hasn't been said? This is an excellent image with excellent detail.
I love the wing position and the top view is spectacular. Wonderful colors too. And that hint of reflection on the bottom just sends this one over the top for me.. Great job.

great veiw of a cool bird Axel., I would prefer a mor vertical crop with more room in front of the bird, and wish for less wind!, well done from a boat!
