Is the composition to "straight on"? Is the sharpness/DOF ok? Does it loose too much detail in the blacks? Is the eye good? There are lots of questions when you are a newbie, please have patient, in about 40 years I might stop asking. :)

I hope you never get tired of asking Mats !!!!

The overall image looks a bid dark or has a dark feel to it The compensation was not listed which is the one most valuable indication of what you are doing.
Seems like it was a little under and could have also used some fill flash. Some detail is seen around the eye then is lost toward the beak. Tail are has very little or none Not all sure but the wing seems sharper than the eye? Could be from the extra detail

I like the pose and clean bg, you also did a good job of placing the little guy in frame. btw when I mentioned fill flash It should be something subtle, flash can ruin an image!!! Excellent !!!!

Great looking bird. A little bit on the dark side as Al mentioned. But overall is a good looking image. IMO!!!!!
