Another frame from the four Walrus we found hauled up on a very small peice of pack ice. Shot from a zodiac, this one was not happy with the sound of all the shutters going off!!!!

Thanks to those who posted or viewed on the last posting.

I like the way you framed the shot, the head angle and the texture of the walrus's skin. The background (which is ice and sea) is pleasantly OOF and brings out the subject. And yes, judging by his blooshot eye he wasn't wishing you well:)

I am sure Mr R would have said if you'd all had Olympus there would not have been any noise:tinysmile_shy_t:
Seriously I recall your previous walrus and i think exactly the same, the image quality is fantastic. I can almost feel those whiskers I bet they would make decent scrubbing brushes! There are details in the tusks, his eyes and hide. The sky even has a little added interest. Wouldn't change a pixel, well done.

Hi Steve .... cool shot . The look back at you is just working very nice here !!!
Love the color / tone combo ... but might the subject a tiny bit more form ,at least the side of the face that was slightly in " shadow" .

Is it a typo or have you really used F 16 , if so why ??? And surprised to see the sharpness trailing off so quickly if you have used F 16 ???

Nice one TFS Andreas

Wonder what Mr R would say in some month time ... as he swops systems like me my grey socks and underpants ...:bg3:

f/16 is correct, wanted to ensure I maxed on the DoF Andreas.

Mr R was in the other zodiac, pushing the ability of the flip out screen and compact kit.

Steve ... thanks for the light you bring in . Man, it must have been very bright looking at the techs . I think I used f/13 max .... and I was on the low end of focussing ,so you must have been quite close
