Super shot Sanjeev, super plumage detail and the dragonfly is the finishing touch. the shot is alll about the bird and the dragonfly so I am beginning to take a more relaxed approach to perches, it could be wished the bird was in front rather than behind the perch - well it wasn't and I got over it!

Excellent action. At the right moment, but with today's frame rates it's just picking the right one to process:c3:. I do feel the composition would benefit from some extra canvas left and top. Appealing subject, with a beautiful red eye.

Hi Sanjeev .. like this one very much .
Right timing when taking the shot ... or the right amount of burst .... LOL .
If this is not large crop , I personally , would like to see the detail finer with the given kit and techs . Just my take ...:w3

Colors looking realistic to me .

Nice one Sanjeev

Great time, fun frame. I think it could go a bit looser crop.

Really nice action shot, sharp where it needs to be. I like the composition.

Great pose and action. I like the perch and OOF leave to balance the image. Some good crop suggestions above which I agree with. Love these bee eaters, I've only seen them once and didn't many any good images -- so jealous! TFS

Hi Sanjeev, totally agree on Dan's observation. I also feel Andreas has a point about the finer detail, but perhaps in selectively lifting the shadows a tad may bring out some of that detail masked. Glad to see you are really getting to grips in changing your 'shooting' mode.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments. Andreas and Steve, I will send the RAW file if you could help me with the finer detail.

superb action and the details look good from here, the main issue that is holding this image back is the steep shooting angle unfortunately you needed to be a ft or two higher
