Last week I took this photo from this Kingfisher with his catch in Holland in the early morning light.

Awesome perch and BG. Great sharpness and catchlight. The fish and the spider webs add a lot to an already fine photo. I'd like a little more of a head turn, and I would probably crop a little off the right. Thanks for posting!

I agree on the Head turn, and would try to recover that little white burn. But I wouldn't crop it at all, in paper it should look awesome! Sometimes we think of the pictures as if they were just to be apreciated in the internet, but on paper usually the subjects with this kind of compositions look much better and apealing than those that are tighter in the frame... just a thought :) Thanks for sharing!

Love the light and the little details mentioned. The colours are beautiful. I like the crop. Too bad about the hot neck and wish for some eye contact, but still very nice as presented.

Composition is nice here and the blue of the background is really lovely. Agreed on above comments in regards to head turn. Nice work

The whole composition is very striking with wonderful complimentary color in the bird and the BG. Excellent detail and sharpness and the fish is such a great added bonus. IMany thanks for sharing Hans.
