Probably boring people with Harrier photos but
I took this one this morning in some nice early sunshine.
The bird refuges are a great place to spend the Covid 19 social distancing.

These guys are just fantastic subjects.

Dan: Excellent pose, lighting, background, nice eye.

On my monitor, the wings and tail are pretty sharp, esp. the primaries, but the head and chest are a little soft. Perhaps a bit more sharpening.

I was doing Covid therapy this morning at the local bird sanctuary.

Cheers

Love the pose with that nice view of those underwings. The detail looks spot on.

Good light, fabulous wing spread. Yes to a bit more sharpening on the head.

I'm definietly not tired of your photos of harriers. I think you have provided some of your best shots from this place!
This one is very cool as well. Probably one of the best poses so far, heading towards you and then stearing of to show you the whole body for a split second. Great eye contact, exposure and composition. Background is good too even though I find the blue streak a little distracting.
I find the bird itself a little grainy and not tack sharp. Might be able to pull some more details by another round of sharpening and the a NR.

pose is awesome, love the light and the HA. it is a very rare opportunity to come this close to a grey ghost, I agree as posted the harrier isn't quite tack sharp but perhaps it can be improved by processing. I'd be tempted tone down the bright oof patches in the BG

TFS really cool shot

Going to be a ling time before I'm bored of these! What I'd have preferred here is a shot either just before or just after he was over the pale areas of the BG, but I still like the shot

Quite a frame Dan! Do agree that a bit more sharpening would help, but I'd love to have this one in my collection!

I got the TIFF from Dan, I was able to recover a bit more details and take out the cast on the grey feathers. cleaned up the BG too, would have worked better if I had the RAW....
