I was fortunate to capture the entire crazy attack sequence that Harriers do
in flight when they dive for prey.
This is the frame at the top of the twisting dive.
Male Harrier.

Terrific action, just at the moment where he rolled over into his dive. Well captured.

Great dynamic frame, not seen one like this before. A hint of noise under the wing where I'm guessing you raised the brightness a touch but thats a minor point.

I hope there are a few more of this sequence to come - very promising you say you got the entire sequence

Great pose and such good light. The lack of eye contact is not an issue here with the bird fixated on the target.

Very dynamic frame and I love the sky and wispy clouds in the BG.
The whites are quite hot on the birds left wing but that is a minor nit for a pretty cool frame.
I hope you have more in this sequence, where the sunlight falls more evenly on the harrier,
Gail

The pose is great. Like that you have clouds in the sky. Nice capture.

Way cool pose Dan!! I find this one a bit thin (washed out looking) on my monitor. I took the liberty of doing a quickie. Added more darks in Levels, more mids in Levels, bit of saturation to the bird, more to the sky and a slight reduction in exposure. Let me know what you think.
