What a perfect perch and BG.
How the heck did you get him to pose for you on the ?muellin?
I see some noise under the tail-easy fix.
I would also sharpen the eye/top of head area. It looks a bit "muddy".
May I ask how big of a crop this is?
Crop is good but I could see a version with a bit more of perch on the bottom.

that a sweet shot of the female kestrel. love the perch and BG, the IQ does look a bit crunchy and grainy, was it underexposed?

Beautiful colours but I too have slight reservation over quality ..was it a large crop, that is my guess.

Wonderful pose, perch and background. Yes to a tad more sharpening on top of head.

Beautiful frame, Dan. Great colors and perch. I agree with the previous comments re. the crop. A looser comp. would certainly elevate this image if you have the room as the perch is just gorgeous. It would also render the bird less crunchy. Well done. TFS

Great perch shows how small and light these birds are. Killer background. Pose is great as well.
